Head Start of Greater Dallas

DonorBridge, a new online resource for nonprofit supporters in North Texas, is debuting to the public on May 20, 2009. To celebrate, Communities Foundation of Texas and The Dallas Foundation will match, dollar-for-dollar, donations given through the website on that day.

Communities Foundation of Texas has committed $250,000 and The Dallas Foundation has committed $50,000, for a total of $300,000, to encourage the public to give to local nonprofits, especially in light of this year’s hurting economy.

On May 20, online public donations made via credit card* on the DonorBridge website will be matched dollar for dollar as long as matching funds last. A total of at least $200,000 is available. The minimum gift is $25 and the maximum contribution that will be matched is $2,500. The maximum matching funds available per organization is $25,000.

This is an excellent way to contribute to Head Start of Greater Dallas’ annual special event, Head Start Heroes, which is scheduled for September 12, 2009. Consider sponsoring a table or purchasing your tickets on May 20^th! Tickets are $75.00 ($25 for children) and tables may be sponsored at $1,000, $2,500, $5,000, $10,000 and $20,000.

*All online credit card gifts made through DonorBridge will be processed through Communities Foundation of Texas. A credit card processing fee of 5% of the amount of the gift will be deducted from the total amount of the gift, with no charge to the nonprofit organization.
