REGISTERED
DIETICIAN/NUTRITION
SPECIALIST
Will ensure the provision of Nutrition Services of all children enrolled
in Head Start of Greater Dallas, Inc. The primary functions of the
Nutrition Specialist include implementation of Nutrition Content Area
Plans by monitoring assigned Centers to assure that meals, sanitation
practices, meal preparation and storage of food and non food items meet
or exceed Head Start and Adult Care Food Program requirements as well as
federal, state, and local guidelines are followed.
Qualifications: BS in Dietetics or Nutrition
and must be a
Registered and License Dietitian or RD eligible.
TEACHER III & BILINGUAL TEACHER III
Duties include
assisting the Lead Teacher in developing lesson plans, supervision and
education of children, organization and maintenance of Center and
classroom.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and six months
prior child care experience. Completion of the CDA Certificate within
two years of employment. Bi-lingual
(English/Spanish) capabilities a plus.
TEACHER II & BILINGUAL
TEACHER II/EHS TEACHER
– Working as the Lead Teacher in a team capacity which includes
developing lesson plans, direct early childhood education, organizing
and maintenance of center and classroom.
Qualifications
B.A. /B.S. Degree in
Child Development or Early Childhood from an accredited university.
A.A.
Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood from an accredited
university
CDA Certification with (2) years experience
COOK ASSISTANT & COOK
ASSISTANT- 30/Hrs
– Works
closely with the Nutrition Content Area to ensure nutritious, visually
appealing and tasty meals. Maintain a high degree of safety and
sanitation in the kitchen and food service areas; compliance with local,
state, and federal food preparation and storage guidelines, record
keeping.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED with some experience as a Cook Assistant.
MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL
The Mental Health Professional (a) provides mental wellness services to
all Head Start children in the form of prevention and treatment; (b)
identifies, assesses and treats Head Start children and families for
emotional/behavioral disorders through the Head Start program in
accordance with Head Start Performance Standards (1304.21) and Texas
Board of License guidelines; (c) works closely with the Special Services
and Mental Health staff.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Mental
Health, or Counseling, or Psychology, or Special Education
(Emotional/Behavioral disorders endorsement), or any related field from
an accredited University; must have Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
credentials issued by the Texas Board of License; must have at least
three years experience working with preschool children with various
disabilities including emotional and behavioral disorders in a classroom
setting and counseling.
SPECIAL
SERVICES AIDE
Duties include
working with preschool children with various disabilities in a classroom
setting.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and at least
one year experience.
