On Monday, April 20th, HSGD hosted a special ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony for the newly restored childhood development center, now called Roseland Homes Head Start Center. The center is an integral piece of Dallas Housing Authority's (DHA) revitalization of the entire Roseland Homes neighborhood, which includes $35 million of new homes, town houses, apartments and neighborhood amenities.

Tammy L. Richards, HSGD Board President, MaryAnn M. Russ, DHA President, Wanda J. Smith, HSGD CEO gave remarks followed by a Head Start parent testimonial and performance by preschoolers. WFAA-8 and CBS-11 were onsite for a tour and media coverage.
