Help Us Do More...

Head Start receives only 80% of its operating budget from the federal government. We have 37 center location in Dallas County - more than 4,200 children enrolled - and 700 staff persons managing the day-to-day operations. In addition, we are impacted by budget cuts each year.

The remaining 20% of our operations must be generated by us - And that amounts to nearly $8,000,000 each year. We can't reach this goal without the support of the community.

These funds help support the purchase of classroom supplies, parent education and training classes and property maintenance at all our centers.

Your time volunteering is valuable to our children and families as well as to Head Start of Greater Dallas. Community contributions of time, leadership, finances and other resources are much appreciated and allow us to serve the growing demographic that needs us so much.
