Early Head Start

Head Start of Greater Dallas’ Early Head Start program provides no-cost childcare, extended social services, preventative health and prenatal education services to the parents of infants and toddlers. There are currently eight Early Head Start centers that provide services to more than 240 infants and toddlers in Dallas.

Head Start

Early Head Start Child Care Partnership

Head Start of Greater Dallas has teamed up with American Care Academy and Vogel Alcove to serve additional Early Head Start children ages 0 to 3 years old.

Enrollment Requirements

Each family applying will have to provide the following income
documents in order of priority:
  • 1040, or 1040A income tax form which documents all of the
    family members in the household.
  •  Annual benefit statements such as TANF, SSI, Social Security,
    Child Support, Foster Care Payment, and Unemployment
    compensation when an applicant has been unemployed for the
    past twelve months.
  •  Families who receive cash benefits may submit a letter from
    their employer stating annual income of employee on company
    letterhead signed and dated by the employer with the employer’s
    company address, and phone number. The letter must be notarized
    with a notary seal.
  • Copy of child’s certified birth certificate.
  • Copy of child’s social security card.
  •  Copy of child’s current immunization record.
